Fees

See the Squad Information Page for an overview of the 8 different swimming squads that make up the Academy Swim Team. The number of training hours are based on the needs and abilities of the swimmer. The Head Coach will determine which squad a swimmer is assigned to and the Head Coach's decision is final. Swimmers will be notified during a training session if they are to be moved to a different squad and handed a slip to notify their Parent or Gaurdian. This will need to be signed and returned to acknowledge the move, change in training times and changes to Fees as this will require the Parent or Guardian to amend their Standing Orders to the Swim Team accordingly.

Joining Fee - £20

There is no yearly membership fee once you are part of the Academy Swim Team but for all new incoming members, no matter which squad the swimmer joins, there is a joining fee of £20.

Masters - £30 Per Month

Pay as you go for any of the 2 sessions each week or you can pay monthly. Please book by contacting the club here to book your session. There is a limit of 12 places per session and you will need to pay the club via a bank transfer. We cannot take payments via the Reception Desk at the pool (although we are working on a solution to this at the moment).

Network Membership - £40 Per Month

This is for anyone who would like to train with AST but belongs and trains with another club. This is usually to add to their training hours. This is only for swimmers who are eligible to swim in the Regional Squad. Maximum sessions allowed per week is 2 which must be agreed in advance with the Head Coach who will decide if there is availability in the sessions.

Training Fees

Training fees are payable by monthly Standing Order, which you will be asked to set up from the first full month after you join, on the 1st of every month.

Any changes or amendments to your fees due to advancement within the club will be advised by the Membership Secretary. Training Fees may be adjusted every April and September depending on costs.

If training fees are more than a month late then a swimmer may be excluded from training until they are paid in full. If no fees are paid for 2 consecutive months the member shall be deemed to have resigned. No refund of training fees will be made in any circumstances other than enforced absence due to illness or injury for a continuous period of more than 2 months, any such refund must be agreed by the Management Committee in each individual case and the absence must have been notified in writing to the club at the time of absence.

Please note if you leave the Club during the year, it is your responsibility to cancel any standing orders – no refunds will be available from the Club in this situation. If you do not want to continue membership you MUST advise the Club Secretary by email on [email protected].

Annual Swim England Registration Fees

The annual Registration fee covers ASA membership at County, Regional & National Level, affiliation fees to other governing bodies and insurance. All swimmers in a club MUST be registered with Swim England. Payment is due on 1st January each year and if it is not paid by 1st February then it will result in your membership being cancelled. Costs are: -

Cost of moving from Category 1 to Category 2 is £23.35. If you are a member of another club and have SE Club Compete, please ask our Secretary for an appropriate form.
